
EMS Services
Emergency Medical Services are provided by Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services. They operate out of 14 stations in Hamilton County. Hamilton County Medic 5 serves the Collegedale area and is located on Ooltewah Ringgold Road next to Ooltewah Middle School and the Wolftever Creek Greenway.

Fire & Rescue Services
The city contracts for fire suppression, fire prevention, and rescue services with the Tri-Community Fire Department operating out of four stations with Station 1 located in Collegedale. The department responds to all fire, rescue, and motor vehicle collisions in the City of Collegedale. They also provide assistance to Hamilton County EMS when requested with a staffing of First Responders, EMT’s, and Paramedics.
The fire department has approximately 100 members and support staff. The fire department has an ISO Class 4 rating which results in lower insurance rates.
The fire department operates out of four stations from the following locations:

Apison Community

Ooltewah Community - Station 4 – 9515 Lee Highway
East Brainerd Community

Burning requires a permit and may be obtained by contacting the Air Pollution Control Bureau at: www.apcb.org or (423)643-5970.
No burning is allowed from May 1 to September 30.
In order to aid Fire and EMS when responding to an emergency, please have your residence or business properly marked with the street number according to the City of Collegedale Municipal Ordinance 16-114.
