The city requires that all dogs and cats be registered. Also, dogs are not allowed to run at large. The municipal code 10-205 (Dogs running at large) states:

      “It shall be unlawful for any person knowingly to permit any dog owned by him or under his control
      to run at large within the corporate limits. To be deemed under control, as provided herein, such
      dog shall not be more than fifty (50) feet away from the owner or representative and immediately
      responsive to his call.”
