Burn Permits

Commercial or residential burning is allowed with the appropriate permit on approved burning days.  The season begins on October 1 and ends on April 30.  The burning status is determined by the predicted daily air quality.  You can also find out the day’s burning status by calling the Info Line at (423)643-5971.  All burning and burning permits are regulated by the Air Pollution Control Bureau.  For more information contact them at (423)643-5970 or at their web site www.apcb.org.
