Fire, Rescue & EMS Services

EMS Service
Emergency Medical Services are provided by Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services. They operate out of 14 stations in Hamilton County. Hamilton County Medic 5 serves the Collegedale area and is located at 5070 Ooltewah Ringgold Road next to Ooltewah Middle School and the Wolftever Creek Greenway.

Fire & Rescue Service
The city contracts for fire suppression, fire prevention, and rescue services with the Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department operating out of four stations with Station 1 located in Collegedale at 9755 Sanborn Drive. The department responds to all fire, rescue, and motor vehicle collisions in the City of Collegedale. They also provide assistance to Hamilton County EMS when requested with a staffing of First Responders, EMT’s, and Paramedics.

The fire department has approximately 100 members and support staff. The fire department has an ISO Class 4 rating which results in lower insurance rates.
