Planning & Economic Development for the City of Collegedale
The Strategic Planner provides for the orderly growth, development and redevelopment of the City of Collegedale by serving as a Subject Matter Expert to City leaders on zoning issues, land subdivision, future land use policy and economic development strategy. The Strategic Planner serves as a point of contact for citizens, business owners, site selectors and other stakeholders seeking to locate within the fastest-growing community in Hamilton County.
The Strategic Planner:

- Develops short and long-range comprehensive community land use plans and updates.
- Drafts relevant ordinances and resolutions to address land use and development controls such as zoning and subdivision regulations.
- Educates the planning commission and City Commission on planning related topics such as future land use, zoning and subdivisions.
- Develops strategies which promote economic and community development and efficient land use consistent with community goals.
- Reviews subdivision plats, zoning requests, site plans and development proposals in conjunction with other staff to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
