Collegedale is located within Hamilton County’s growth corridor, about 12 miles east of downtown Chattanooga. Home to Southern Adventist University, the city is also a destination for over 8,000 residents and serves as the headquarters for McKee Foods, the makers of the Little Debbie snack cake. In addition, the city is adjacent to the Enterprise South Industrial Park, which contains Volkswagen of America’s manufacturing operations, Gestamp, and additional automotive suppliers. Other nearby employers include Miller Industries, US Xpress, and Amazon.com.
