Welcome to the City of Collegedale, TN
Located in Southeastern Hamilton County, Collegedale resides in beautiful mountains and the Tennessee River Valley between Chattanooga and Cleveland along the Interstate 75 corridor. Collegedale incorporated in 1968, and our City celebrates a rich and diverse history.
Collegedale continues to be a "destination of choice" and our residents enjoy a unique environment. While situated away from the "bustling city", we have easy access to diverse shopping, modes of transportation, creative parks and recreation, and excellent schools. Collegedale enjoys an ideal location, and is only minutes from 3 major interstates and numerous highways. The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport is 10 minutes away providing direct flights to several major metropolitan areas and the Collegedale Municipal Airport, which has a 5,000 foot runway, is also located within our City hosting private and business aviation.
Collegedale is the home and corporate headquarters, to include several plants, of McKee Foods Corporation producing their line of Little Debbie snack cakes; they are one of the largest employers in Hamilton County. Southern Adventist University, a private university with over 3,000 students, resides within our City and boasts a beautiful and thriving campus adding charm and culture. We have a beautiful Veterans Park, celebrating our Nation's freedom and honoring the sacrifice of our armed services while also cherishing our Community values and way of life!
Collegedale is directly adjacent to the Enterprise South Industrial Complex, an industrial and manufacturing mega-site hosting Volkswagen, Amazon.com, and other major businesses; and the Summit of Softball Complex which hosts many major tournaments. Industry, retail, and affordable housing opportunities continue to locate to our immediate area and City. We are growing, learning, and thriving! Are you?
Curious; come see us! We are a City on the move; a great place that's open for business, a great place to call home, and as you will see, a great "destination of choice" for your home and your business!
Safe travels!
