Judge Kevin B. Wilson


Kevin B. Wilson graduated Southern Adventist University in 1978 with a B.S. Degree in Business Management. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1981. Mr. Wilson was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 1981 and practiced one year in Knoxville before opening the practice of Wilson & Wilson in Chattanooga in 1982, with his wife, Scarlett T. Wilson. In 2002, the firm name was changed to Kevin B. Wilson Law Offices. He was admitted to practice before U.S. District Court, Eastern District Tennessee and U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in 1987; U.S. District Court, Middle District of Tenn., in 2011; and the Western District of Tennessee, in 2012. He also practices in all Tennessee State Courts. In November 2017, he was also admitted to the practice of law in the State of Georgia. In 2017 the firm expanded and took in two partners and opened an office in Orlando, Florida area to better serve their clients in Florida.
Mr. Wilson is a member of the Chattanooga Bar Association, Tennessee Municipal Judges Conference, Tennessee General Sessions Judges Conference, and the American Collectors Association (ACA) International. He serves on the Board of the Collegedale Tomorrow Foundation and actively participates in the community through speaking to school groups, judging high school mock trial competitions, and class functions of the School of Business at SAU including judging the Business Law Class Moot Court event. In May 2019, Mr. Wilson became a fellow of the Chattanooga Bar Foundation.
Mr. Wilson was elected as the Collegedale City Court Judge in 1990, the first time the position became an elected one. He has been re-elected to this position four times and continues to preside as Judge, his current term expiring in 2030.
