Overview
The role of the Field Training Officer (FTO) is to be a trainer, evaluator, supervisor, counselor, and a good role model to new officers. All FTOs are required to complete a significant course of study, in order to be certified as an FTO. These officers will then be responsible for the daily training and evaluation of the new officers that are assigned to them.
