City of Collegedale

In addition to the year-long UTC research project that is underway on our greenway, we are also partnering with the University of Tennessee Department of Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries in Knoxville!

Students in the Urban Forestry Program will be in Collegedale to conduct a plant inventory over the next week. They will perform this analysis as part of their class requirements and will share a full greenway management plan with us once their work is completed. This management plan will assist us in our on-going effort to enhance the city’s tree canopy and manage vegetation adjacent to Wolftever Creek.

The group will be back in Collegedale on October 27 for a presentation on their findings and recommendations. The exact time is to be announced but the public is invited to attend. We will share more information as it becomes available.
