Welcome to the City of Collegedale, TN

Located in Hamilton County, Tennessee, Collegedale shares the beautiful Tennessee River Valley with Chattanooga and several other cities. Collegedale incorporated in 1968, but its history can be traced as far back as 1916.

Collegedale is home to residents who enjoy an environment away from the busy city, yet have easy access to shopping, airports, recreation and parks, and excellent schools. Collegedale is located in an ideal location, only minutes from 3 major interstates, numerous highways, the new Volkswagen assembly plant and the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport.

Collegedale is home to one of the largest snack cake makers in the industry, McKee Foods Corporation with their line of Little Debbie snack cakes and one of the largest employers in Hamilton County.

The city is also home to Southern Adventist University, a private university with 2,500 students. Much of the history of Collegedale can be traced to the early beginnings of the university.
