What happens at the City Commission?
the Planning Commission recommendation is presented as an ordinance for consideration.

Passage requires a majority vote on first reading, followed by a public hearing and a second reading of the ordinance at the next scheduled City Commission meeting.

Following an affirmative vote at the second reading, the zoning change becomes effective 15 days after passage. In some instance, the City Commission might postpone action until a later date.
